The Millstreet Vintage Club hailed its recent tractor race at Carriganima as a great success and recognized all the patrons who supported it.

he race was organized in support of the Carriganima Area Rural Transport Service (CART) which is setting up a bus to take people to places where no other means of transport is available for shopping and sightseeing. other appointments.

Although the weather was not very good, wet and windy, more than 80 tractors took the track on a scenic route before returning to the finish in Carriganima where some refreshments were appreciated.

Race director Danny Lane thanked the marshals who worked hard to ensure the event ran smoothly, as well as Mick Duggan and co-driver Willie Fitzgerald for driving the tractors on the road.

“Despite the weather, we had a very good tractor turnout and the proceeds will go to a good cause,” Danny said.

“All credit goes to the drivers who made the effort to support a popular bus in Carriganima,” he added.
