Troopers said they were called to Mile 167 on I-95 in Sebastian to a report of a golf cart being driven down the highway.

Investigators said they found a tractor-trailer pulled to the side of the road near a golf cart. The tractor-trailer driver said she spotted Hawk in the golf cart and saw the woman pass out at the wheel, according to the arrest report.

Troopers said Hawk was combative, smelled of alcohol, and had trouble providing them with identification, handing them first a restaurant card and then a credit card. She said she was driving on I-95 because she had to take State Route 528, officials said.

Investigators said they attempted to seat Hawk inside a cruiser for her own safety, but she refused until given her purse. Soldiers said they looked inside his bag and found an open bottle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire.

Hawk then began to resist arrest, but was eventually handcuffed and taken to Brevard County Jail.

Hawk faces charges of driving under the influence and non-violent resistance.
